A Method Statement is a program of work prepared for activities being carried out that present a higher risk to people.
A Method Statement will detail how a task will should be carried out. It should detail the possible dangers/ risks associated with the works, the control measures and how the work will be carried out safely. It is used to detail the control measures required to control the hazards which would have been established by the risk assessment undertaken.
A Method Statement should be site specific.
